THE STORY
Dar Ben Gacem -Kahia- is the latest addition to Dar Ben Gacem, the award acclaimed boutique hotel in the Media, social enterprises through promoting national arts and crafts, and designing Medina experiences to improve the socio-cultural dynamic of the historical urban quarters of Tunis. All profits are reinvested in youth cultural activities and heritage preservation.
The Dar was built around the 17th century with prestigious dining/meeting room with gypsum carved ceiling, Tunisian geometric lace like carving and Kairouani Arabic font script framing the rooms; walls are decorated with rare glass paintings. Dar Ben Gacem -Kahia- has an important display of historical ceramic pieces; private collection of Mr. Hamida Ben-Gacem, in an attempt to honour creative Tunisian ceramists of the last 2 centuries. Room are named after well-known innovators in Tunisian ceramic history. All Dar furnishing and decoration are handmade by Tunisian artisans from all over the country.

Sala is ideal for corporate events, off site meetings or team building exercises; send us an inquiry, and we will make proposals for team activities with artisans around us in the Medina. We love families and children, so let us know if you are looking for a private space for a family meal, or if you hope to custom organize a birthday or anniversary.

Our breath-taking rooftop is perfect for brunch with a Sidi Mehrez view, an evening cocktail or a private evening with colleagues or friends. Our roof-top is dedicayed to our guests and customized events only.
FOOD Event
