The room is long, with a traditional wall to wall bed, a working desk and reading space. The bathroom is a happy extension of the room, beautifully decorated. The room is on the first floor, with a window onto the balcony, close to Dar’s ‘dynamic’ library. Room Kharrez is named after the Karraz family in Nabeul. Mr. Hassen Kharraz (about 1860/1870-1922), Gacem Kharraz (1910- 1969), and his son Hassen Kharraz (1936-2008), were master ceramists, well known innovators, specialized in yellow and green pottery known as Motli and Chawwāt (unglazed pottery). Some Kharraz ceramic pieces are decorated around the Dar.
