To prepare your stay home away from home, let us know what services you will need. Below are some of our services, but we are also happy to custom design your stay… just let us know your needs.
Rooms
We have a total of 15 rooms; Dar Ben Gacem -Pasha- has 7 rooms and Dar Ben Gacem -Kahia- has 8. Since our Dars were restored, with minimal building alterations, no room is similar to the other, rooms vary in size and furniture. Our rooms are furnished with artisanal handmade, or restored furniture. All rooms have private bathrooms, with access to courtyard, rooftop and dining area.
Food & Beverage
Our rich breakfast is served daily; guests can choose to include it in room fees or not. Breakfast could be served anytime anywhere around the Dar. All our food is purchased the same day, from local suppliers and small businesses in the neighbourhood. Upon request, we prepare Tunisian meals for our guests. Our meals are a true journey of culinary culture, and we recommend trying it, while you stay with us! We prefer to know at least a day in advance, to be able to shop for what is needed. We will be happy to adapt Tunisian cuisine to your dietary needs and allergies; just let us know.
Visit planning
Whether you are looking for something to do in 1 hour, half a day, or many days; let us know, and we will be happy to propose activities, experiences and adventures around the Medina and outside. We will be happy to play chess with you; take you food shopping then cook your meal with our coke; spend a few hours with a calligrapher or just walk around the Medina… the earlier you ask, the better we can plan, so let us know; preferably before you arrive.
Laundry
We provide laundry services to guests, upon request. We do not use a dryer, we allow the sun to do its work, hence please consider 24hrs for your laundry to services.
Baby Sitting
We love families and little guests bring us job. We could provide babysitting services, upon request, we just need to be informed at least 24hr ahead. Our babysitters are mothers from the neighbourhood.
Transportation
Upon request, we provide airport pick-up and drop-off. We also assist our guests, in their transportation needs, within Tunis or anywhere in Tunisia. We could also help groups, with minibuses or other travel needs within Tunisia.
Corporate activities
We are your home away from home, and also office away from your office. Contact us for your corporation, institution and association needs. Whether you need a serious off-site meeting or a fun team building exercise. Disconnect from your office environment, and let us know your needs, and we will be happy to customize our space, to match your corporate activity objectives.
Family & friends
Take over the whole Dar, with your family or friends. Allow us to prepare relaxing reunion around timeless meals, to help you create memorable moments while reunited. Not to forget the night time endless rooftop chats, with lots of positive energy.
Researchers & artists
We believe in the powers of researchers and artists in unleashing the powers of the Medina; which is why we accept in-residence requests, whenever possible. Drop us a request, and allow us to review your project or initiative, which we prefer to be related to the Medina.
